Lower Seti River
Sweet and Scenic Family Trip
Rafting the Lower Seti
Great for family trips or those looking for a calmer rafting trip combined with excellent scenery. The lower Seti winds its way from Pokhara down to Chitwan far from the road. This two day trip is another classic Nepal river springing from the Himalaya before winding its way through forested canyons and twisted rock and sandstone formations. This river travels through diverse villages and gives way to great remote beaches.
It offers great chances for swimming and wildlife spotting, making it highly suitable for families and first time rafters and kayakers. A great add on to this river is a Chitwan safari, only 30 minutes from the rafting take out point. Shortest road journey in Nepal!
Best time to Raft or Kayak the Lower Seti
While the river rages in the monsoon making an ideal fast moving day trip, for the rest of the year it’s a friendly safe and fun rafting trip. So high water action trips are during June-September. Normal water family fun trips are during October-November and May. Low water trips during December to April are a fantastic time for less action family trips. During these low water times rafting the lower Seti becomes a great slow and scenic float trip. This trip is fantastic rafting trip for nervous first timers and families. During certain times of the year we will also feature a fishing trip on this river. The river is the easiest of all the river we raft in Nepal but still provides a little action each day.
Best Combo: Lower Seti Rafting + Chitwan Safari
